AME's Tony Planamento, CRL, and Mario Mimura recently became certified in motion amplification!
AME will apply this knowledge to machinery as the next layer into vibration analysis/additional diagnostics. This will also be applied to struts on vessels to determine its hull connection's natural frequency/rigidity.
AME's Christine Battles has accepted a spot in Junior Achievement of South Florida's Board of Directors! Being a board member aligns perfectly with her commitment to work readiness and educating the younger generation in our community.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to provide unique advice, perspective, and support to help uphold Junior Achievement of South Florida's mission!" Christine Battles, CAO, AME. JA Sea The World

AME believes in educating maintenance professionals on the value of condition monitoring and its application to their mechanical problems. Here's a "behind the scenes" peak at AME president, Rich Merhige, presenting "Vibration: A Powerful Diagnostic Tool" with Mobius Connect.
Industrial Project
AME developed and built a condition monitoring program for a local water management facility with 270 pumps and 66 stations. During our most recent visit, the last visit of an annual survey, we picked up a misalignment using vibration analysis.
A cargo ship was experiencing a recurring pipe failure on one of its chillers. AME was called out to troubleshoot the root cause of vibration and pipe resonance.
We arrived on site and performed resonance testing at multiple locations of the pipe to determine natural frequencies.
